By booking any property on DiscoverMyStay, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

3. Cancellation Policy

Standard Cancellation Policies for Shorter Stays:

  • Our standard cancellation policy applies to all reservations of 27 or fewer consecutive nights. Depending on the property, the following policy will be in effect:
    • Super Strict 60 Days:Guests must cancel at least 60 days before check-in to receive a 50% refund for all nights.
    • If a guest cancels after that, no refund will be provided, and the full amount will be charged for all nights.

Long-Term Cancellation Policies for Monthly Stays:

  • For reservations of 28 or more consecutive nights, the following long-term cancellation policy applies:
    • Strict:Guests must cancel within 48 hours of booking to receive a 50% refund, provided the cancellation occurs at least 60 days before check-in.
    • If a guest cancels after this period, no refund will be issued.

Property-Specific Cancellation Policies:

  • Some rentals may have different cancellation policies. We strongly recommend reviewing the specific cancellation terms for each property before booking to ensure you are aware of the applicable conditions.

Refunds & Compensation:

  • DiscoverMyStay is not liable to provide refunds or compensation if a property becomes unavailable or unusable for reasons outside of DiscoverMyStay’s control, including adverse weather, natural disasters, mechanical failures, government orders, or utility outages.
  • Guests are advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellations, property damage, and lost baggage.
  • Cancellations must be emailed to [support email].
  • Refunds are processed within 5-7 days of cancellation approval.

4. Check-In/Out Policy

  • Standard Check-In:Check-in time is 3:00 PM.
  • Standard Check-Out:Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
  • Early Check-In:Early check-in is subject to availability and depends on the previous guest’s check-out on the day of your arrival. If available, an early check-in can be arranged for an additional fee of $25.
  • Late Check-Out:Late check-out incurs a fee of $30 per half hour.
  • Check-In Instructions & House Manual:Detailed check-in instructions and the house manual will be provided on the day of your check-in.

5. House Rules

  • No smoking or pets unless explicitly allowed in listing details. Violations will incur extra cleaning fees.
  • Please be respectful of neighbors and noise levels, especially after 10:00 PM.
  • Leave the property as you found it.
  • Guests take full responsibility for any injuries or damages related to their stay.

6. Pet Policy

  • Pet-Friendly Listings:Bringing pets is allowed only in certain listings. If pets are permitted, a pet fee will apply, which varies by property. Please check the specific listing for details on pet fees and requirements.
  • No-Pet Listings:For properties where pets are not allowed, a strict no-pet policy is enforced. If any pets or animals are found to have been in the rental unit, a minimum charge of $500.00 will be assessed to cover additional cleaning and damages.

7. Cleaning Procedures

  • Each property is professionally inspected, sanitized, and cleaned prior to guest arrival and after departure.
  • At check-out, guests must leave the property in the same general condition as it was found:
    • All trash and discards should be removed and placed in bins.
    • The kitchen should be cleaned up with the dishwasher started.
    • Furniture and items should be returned to their original positions.
    • Garage remotes should be left on the kitchen counter.
    • All lights, HVAC, fans, and appliances should be turned off.
    • Doors and windows should be closed and locked.
    • Keys should be returned to the lockbox if applicable.
  • Failure to follow check-out cleaning procedures may result in additional cleaning charges deducted from the security deposit.

8. Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit is required on all bookings. Please refer to the listing for details.
  • The deposit will be refunded within 7 days of checkout if no damage or violations of the agreement occur.
  • Damage/violation expenses will be deducted from the deposit. Guests are liable for costs exceeding the deposit amount.

9. Maximum Occupancy

  • Overnight guests are restricted to the occupancy limit listed on each property.
  • Visitors are permitted during the day but must depart by 10:00 PM.
  • The booking guest is responsible for the safety and damages caused by any unauthorized overnight visitors.
  • Violating occupancy limits is grounds for immediate termination of the rental without a refund.

10. Agency Disclosure

  • It is understood that DiscoverMyStay is acting as an agent representing the property owners.
  • DiscoverMyStay does not assume liability to either party for the performance of any terms or covenants of this rental agreement.
  • The guest understands that DiscoverMyStay receives compensation from the property owners for facilitating the reservation.
  • As an agent, DiscoverMyStay is obligated to protect the interests of the property owners.

11. Service Overview

  • DiscoverMyStay connects travelers with property owners. We don’t own or manage the properties listed.

12. User Responsibilities

  • You must be 18+ to use our site.
  • Provide accurate information.
  • Keep your account details secure.

13. Listings and Bookings

  • Property owners are responsible for their listings.
  • We facilitate inquiries between travelers and property owners.
  • Agreements are between travelers and property owners.

14. User Conduct

  • Please use our site responsibly and legally. Don’t post false information or misuse our platform.

15. Privacy

  • We protect your data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

16. Disclaimer

  • We provide our service “as is” without warranties. We’re not liable for issues arising from your use of our site.

17. Intellectual Property

  • Our content is protected. Please don’t copy or distribute it without permission.

18. Changes

  • We may update these terms. Please check back regularly.
